The GSC Goals

Our Goals are categorized under the acronym CAP- Community, Academic and Perspectives.

We will create a community that is committed to the personal and professional development of international students, and all students, interested in global change

We seek to offer guidance and support to students and particularly those working on global issues. We will also advocate on behalf of international students and other students seeking professional development opportunities and funding.

We will promote diverse culture and scholarship, through specially curated events, discussions, and seminars to increase awareness and ignite global change and development.

Winter Wheel of Change

Thursday, November 21st, 2024; 1:30 pm- 2:30 pm. Mic open at 2:00 pm. Location is 950 East 61st Street, 60637.

GSC Popup & Poetic Justice Hour

This a pop and open mic event, where students are encouraged to participate in an open mic activity, called poetic justice. Come out and present freely short articles, poems, memos, or other pieces, on human right and global development. The top performances will feature at the Symposium in the Winter quarter.

Spring Global-Cultural-Diversity Soiree

This is an elegant-styled dinner, aimed at celebrating cultural diversity. This event will showcase foods, fashion, and music all aimed at celebrating diversity. Special performances will come from diverse DJS, immigrant groups, and children, while also celebrating the Southside of Chicago.
